Chamber of Commerce to sponsor debate between first selectman candidates
Hinger, Dunn to discuss municipal issues at October 7 forum

BROOKFIELD – For the ninth consecutive municipal election cycle, the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce will hold a debate between the candidates for first selectman of Brookfield – Democratic incumbent Steve Dunn and Republican challenger Karl Hinger.
The forum is scheduled for Tuesday night, October 7, at 7 p.m. in the Brookfield High School auditorium. It is free to the public and the doors will open at 6 p.m.

Through the assistance of the Brookfield municipal information technology department, the debate will be live-streamed. Arrangements will be made for it to be posted on YouTube and aired on CommunityTV 192.
Brookfield Patch reporter Scott Benjamin will moderate the questions and answers. He had handled each of the chamber’s debates since 2011.

Prospective audience questions can be submitted via e-mail through Friday, October 3, to Maura@danburychamber.com. Additionally index cards will be provided as the audience enters the auditorium so that potential questions can be submitted until 6:40 p.m. – 20 minutes before the start of the debate.
Refreshments will be provided.
