The doctor, a Brookfield resident, allegedly doled out electrical shocks to punish the victim for bad-mouthing other staff in the office.

A Stratford chiropractor faces an assault charge for allegedly punishing an assistant with high-intensity electric shocks for bad-mouthing other staff members in the office, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Dr. William DeAngelo, the 62-year-old head of the Neuro-Spinal Center on Barnum Avenue, was arrested on a warrant Thursday for the July 29 incident.

DeAngelo, a Brookfield resident, is accused of calling the woman into the examination room and ordering her to lie on her stomach on a table and then had another assistant attach electrodes to her back and told the victim he was going to “teach her something,” according to the Post.
