Saturday, Aug. 3 at 8 pm.

Hilarious and heartfelt, Love! Valour! Compassion! is a Tony-Award winning play by Terrence McNally about eight gay men who share experiences over three holiday weekends of one summer in a country house in New York that will test the dynamics of their friendships, reveal inner truths, cause love to be discovered and make a lasting impact on all of their lives. The performance of this staged reading will feature some of Community Theatre's best actors in a not to be missed evening of theatre directed by Scott R. Brill. Filled with biting wit, intimate moments and memorable characters, Love! Valour! Compassion! is powerful and laugh out loud funny. Note: This play deals with adult themes and situations.

Call For Proposals for 2020

Brookfield Theatre is currently accepting submissions for its 62nd season of shows!

Directors and show proposals are currently being accepted. Deadline to submit: August 1, 2019.

The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts is seeking enthusiastic directors willing to share their energy and talent to create shows that are challenging, entertaining and inspiring for performers and audiences.

Our regular season of up to 5 shows includes musicals, comedies, and dramas. Each show will receive between 7 and 14 performances. We are also accepting proposals for script readings and other special projects to enhance our regular season.

Your proposal should include:

1. Your name, contact information, and a brief resume with relevant coursework and experience. Include at least 1 reference.

2. The show or shows you are proposing. Multiple submissions are welcomed and encouraged. Include alternates or your willingness to consider alternates if applicable.

3. Your thoughts on why, in general, you would like to direct this show at Brookfield Theatre.

4. A brief outline of the production requirements for the show. Please include cast size, thoughts on casting, ideas for set, lighting, costuming, technical and creative aspects, any personnel that you may have or need, and any production challenges particular to the show you propose.

5. A copy of the script (plays) or recording (musicals).

6. Schedule preference (winter, spring, summer, late summer, fall) and any schedule conflicts.

7. Submissions for musicals should include a musical director who has agreed to the proposed show, their schedule availability and fee requirements/expectations. Please contact Brookfield Theatre if you need assistance in securing a Musical Director for your proposal. Any Musical Director interested in submitting a proposal is welcome to contact us if you need assistance securing a Director for your proposal.

The deadline to submit is August 1, 2018.
