COVID-19 In Brookfield: 7 Deaths, 136 Confirmed Cases

Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Brookfield.

BROOKFIELD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed that 136 cases of the new coronavirus have been reported in Brookfield as of Tuesday. Seven residents have died from COVID-19, according to the State.

Across Connecticut, another 648 lab-confirmed positive coronavirus cases were announced Tuesday out of 3,313 tests. Gov. Ned Lamont said that the ratio of positive to negative tests was good news. Unfortunately there were another 77 deaths as well.

There are now 30,621 confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut and 2,633 deaths have been reported. A total of 1,500 people are currently hospitalized.
