Brookfield Bobcats Football Team Wins Class M State Title
State champs Brookfield Bobcats football team had a police escort to the high school on Saturday where they were greeted with cheers.
The Brookfield Bobcats high school football team were greeted at the high school on Saturday with cheers from waiting friends and family. The team had a police escort to celebrate their winning state title in style.
The Bobcats beat the New Fairfield Rebels 21 - 14 in West Haven for the Class M title. Coach Castellano said this was the second consecutive year the Bobcats have won the state championship and that the win was due to hard work from coaches and players.

Principal said Marc Balanda said, “The boys had such a great season. They started off the year beating New Fairfield, they had a bit of a dip, but then they came back so strong. I’m so proud of them. It’s pretty impressive what they did today.”
Athletic Director Steve Baldwin said, “The coaches did all the work. The kids worked hard. It’s great for the kids, it’s great for the school and for the community. I’m so happy for them.”
