Cuddles For Kids

Brookfield Lions donate toy bears to children at the Yale New Haven Pediatric Cancer Center

The Brookfield Lions Club donated 75 "Cuddle" bears to the Pediatric Cancer unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital today.As part of Lions International initiative to fight Pediatric Cancer the Brookfield Lions Club chose to provide Cuddle the Bear for comfort to the children undergoing treatment.Donation jars to keep this program ongoing can be found in various business in our community or you can contact a Lion to donate.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.4 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Pediatric/Adult Vision Screening, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
