Our beloved Dex, lost before his time, beloved son, brother and friend. His 23 years of life filled us with love and laughter. Dex was a graduate of Brookfield High, Class of 2006. He was an avid sports fan and played football, baseball, basketball and hockey. He worked at The Home Depot in Danbury. He will be remembered always and missed everyday.
Dex is survived by his parents, Larry and Fern Smenyak; his brothers, Chad and Jared; his grandparents, Lois Lerman, Eve and Seymour Berke; his aunts, Marilyn Berke and Diane Williams; and his uncles Lance Lerman and Art Berke.

Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 9 at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
A service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the congregation B'nai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Road (Route 39), Danbury. A burial will follow at United Jewish Cemetery on Grays Bridge Road, Brookfield.

Donations Information
In lieu of flowers the family request a donation be made to The Brookfield High School Athletic Department, for a scholarship to be established under Dex Smenyak's name.
