Disagreement Continues Over Brookfield Registrar's Legal Bills
Republican Registrar of Voters Thomas Dunkerton is being sued by a resident he expelled from the party last year.

BROOKFIELD, CT - Republican Registrar of Voters Thomas Dunkerton is being sued by a resident he expelled from the party last year, but the town continues to refuse to pay the lawyer defending him.
The News-Times reports that attorney Ward Mazzuco has billed the town about $24,000 to represent Dunkerton, who claims Jane Miller was not a good faith Republican when she ran for the Board of Finance as a Democrat (she lost).
First Selectman Steve Dunn believes the squabble is a Republican party matter, not a town one, and he refuses to pay the legal fee.
