BROOKFIELD -- Town Clerk Andrea DiStephan, has announced that she will step down effective August 30.
She stated in a letter that, "Serving in this role has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Over the past eight years, I have grown both personally and professionally, built lasting relationships with residents, and developed strong connections with clerks across Connecticut and New England. I have learned from so many dedicated professionals and, most importantly, I discovered a profession I truly love."

Added DiStephan, a Democrat, "Brookfield is a special place, and the people who work at Town Hall are a big part of what makes it so. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have spent nearly eight years working alongside such committed and supportive colleagues. The Town Clerk's office will be in excellent hands with Colleen Galbraith and Donna Korb," the assistant town clerks.
Her husband, Ray DiStephan, is a former chairman of the Brookfield Board of Education.
