Early voting generates ballots

BROOKFIELD -- More than 1,300 early votes have been cast in Brookfield over the first three days.

The head moderator, Matt Grimes, stated via e-mail that through Wednesday, October 23, there were 512 early voters in District 1, 416 in District 2 and 404 in District 3.

Grimes, a former chairman of the Board of Education who made a bid last year for the Republican nomination for first selectman, wrote that the moderators are Selectman Bob Belden in District 1 Paula Hopewell in District 2 and Tom Keller in District 3.

Early voting will continue through November 3.
