As part of their American Military Forum, the Brookfield Historical Society sponsors WW I and the Impact on the Local Family, a lecture and visual presentation to be held in the society's museum Monday, April 5, at 7:30 pm. The program will be presented by Brookfield resident Peter Cronin, who has delivered many lectures on related topics.
Cronin will also use photographs, letters and artifacts "to reveal the impact on one American family whose son was drafted into the military service during the war," organizers said.
The public is invited to attend; admission is free and refreshments will be served.
