Expect Delays: Water Main Installation In Brookfield Next Week

Brookfield residents can expect minor traffic delays and possible detours when Aquarion begins a water main installation next week.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Aquarion Water Company is advising customers that a water main installation project is scheduled to begin Monday on North Nabby Road in Brookfield.

The project is expected to be completed by November 2023. Final paving will then be scheduled in coordination with Brookfield officials.

The project, which will install approximately 4,450 feet of water main, is part of an ongoing program to improve Aquarion’s water distribution system, according to a company statement released Thursday. The infrastructure upgrades will also help to reduce leaks and water main breaks that can cause service interruptions, officials said.

Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Norwalk-based M. Rondano will be serving as the contractor for the water main replacement project.
