Fatal Accident Reported in Brookfield on Route 7

BROOKFIELD, CT — State Police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Route 7 near Exit 11 in Brookfield early Tuesday morning.

At 3:51 a.m., a vehicle with one person inside rolled over in the fatal accident, said State Police spokeswoman Kelly Grant. The vehicle went off the road and only the right lane was initially closed, she said.

But as of 7 a.m. the Route 7 southbound near Exit 7 was closed so State Police could investigate what led to the accident, Grant said.
