Fire Damages Brookfield Technology Center Building

Firefighters were on the scene shortly after 8:30 Wednesday night.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Emergency personnel from several fire and EMS crews and nearby towns responded to a fire last night at 772 Federal Road, housing the Brookfield Technology Center.

First responders from Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company arrived at the scene shortly after 8:30 Wednesday night, encountering heavy fire conditions in the rear of the 1.5 story wood frame commercial structure, according to their report.

The fire was under control by 9:15 p.m., and all emergency crews had cleared the area by 11:00. The Brookfield Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.

Water Witch Hose Co. #2 of New Milford, the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company Rescue 2, the Danbury Fire Department, and the Brookfield police all lent a hand in the effort.

On their Facebook page, the BVFC also gave a "special shout out to Portobello Restaurant & Pizza (next to fire building) who so kindly provided pizza and beverages for the crews after the fire. You represent what is great about Brookfield."
