Fire Instructor Course Announced In Brookfield
The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company is offering a multi-week certification course starting in May.
BROOKFIELD, CT — The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company is offering a Fire Service Instructor I certification course this spring.
The course will run Saturdays from May 9 through June 20, with no class scheduled on May 23.
According to organizers, the program meets the requirements for the first level of fire service instructor certification under NFPA 1041 standards.

Topics include adult learning, communication, evaluation techniques and instructional methods. Students will also complete presentations as part of the course.
The cost is $550 per student, which includes daily lunch and a textbook. Class size is limited to 18 participants.

Classes will be held at Brookfield Fire Headquarters, located at 92 Pocono Road.
