Gale (Sheffield) Van Bezooijen, 72, of Brookfield died at home on Monday, May 16. Gale was born October 28, 1938 in Peekskill, NY. The daughter of Oliver and Edith (Sheffield) Marcy.
Gale worked for Danbury Orthopedics as a billing supervisor for 44 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and A.A.
Gale is survived by one son, Michael S. Van Bezooijen and his wife Amy of Toms River, NJ; two daughters, Marcy Rooney and her husband James of Brewster, NY and Dawn Ellison and her husband Rex of Shady Springs, WV; one daughter-in-law, Beth Van Bezooijen of Brookfield and seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Gale was predeceased by one son, Keith Van Bezooijen and one brother Oliver W. Marcy II.

Funeral Information
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St. Danbury.

Donations Information
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made in Gale’s name to Make a Wish Foundation and Meals on Wheels.
