Brookfield Lions Encourage Residents to Give the Gift of Life

What better way to start the New Year than to give blood, the gift of Life. Here Ward Miles signs in to donate blood at the Brookfield Lions Blood Drive held at the First Assembly of God Church. Looking on are (L-R) Lion Ernie Bendana, Lion Bob Symington and Lion Joe Rocky.

The Lions Club is the largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.3 million members in 45,000 Local clubs located in over 200 countries and territories. The Brookfield Lions support a number of local, regional and international causes including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet twice weekly on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
