To date, the Magic Bullet Fund has assisted more than 300 dogs through cancer treatment. Thanks to a $50,000 grant from Petco Foundation, each new dog’s campaign opens with a generous launching gift from the fund.
The Magic Bullet Fund provides financial assistance to, and answers the prayers of, people
who want to help their best friends fight cancer but have limited financial resources. Fund
administrator Laurie Kaplan and her Siberian Husky Bullet (a.k.a. “The Magic Bullet”) have become a legend among dog lovers. After helping Bullet beat cancer Laurie wrote and published an awardwinning, best selling book called “Help Your Dog Fight Cancer” to help others through the journey.

Now in its 2nd Edition, this book has helped tens of thousands of people with dogs with cancer.
Concurrent with the publication of the book, Laurie founded the Magic Bullet Fund to help
people who have a dog with cancer but cannot afford treatment. To date, MBF has seen more than 100 beautiful dogs through treatment.
The Magic Bullet Fund has touched the entire pet loving community. Generous individuals across the U.S. send donations. Veterinarians donate “In Tribute” to patients they lose to cancer, and display a MBF donation box in their clinic’s waiting room. Aloha Medicinals donates a full line of their powerful supplements to each MBF pup every month, for the rest of the dog’s life. Poly-MVA donates supplies of their exceptional antioxidants as fundraising incentives. Drug distributors and Wal-Mart allow the fund to provide at cost chemotherapy agents for the dogs in the fund. Pet related companies and organizations help by raising funds for the dogs or by providing discounts. And Laurie Kaplan donates proceeds from her book.
The Magic Bullet Fund operates through donations from individuals, corporations and
organizations sensitive to the issue of canine cancer. Donations can be made online at
www.themagicbulletfund.org or by mail to PO Box 2574, Briarcliff NY, 10510. Those interested in
volunteering their time should call (914) 941-0159.
