Huckleberry Students See 'Poetry in Motion'
Performance poet David Zucker visits Huckleberry third graders.

Third graders at (HHES) enjoyed a very special assembly last week called Poetry in Motion, a performance by David Zucker from the Young Audiences of Connecticut Inc. Poetry in Motion is a revival of the almost lost art of performance poetry.
Zucker brings to life the best of poetic literature. His one man show synthesizes his more than 30 years of experience as an actor, director, playwright, teacher and mime with masks and puppets.
Zucker is a professional mime, actor, playwright and director. He has performed in theatre, film and television. He holds an MFA from Brandeis University, teaches the Chinese art of Tai Chi Chuan and is also a T’ai Chi Master that holds a sixth degree black belt in the art of Zen Sword. David is a popular international performer in theatre, festivals, schools, libraries and museums.

Among his awards, his most treasured is “National Artist of the Year,” which he received in 1996 from Young Audiences Inc.
