People were lining up early at the Brookfield Town Hall Saturday Morning to have documents that contained their personal information such as Bank Statement, Credit Card Statements, Cancelled Checks, Medical Records, Financial Reports, Tax Information, Disks and Hard Drives shredded. The Brookfield Lions were out in full force to answer questions, direct traffic, help unload cartons from vehicles and generally assisted in the shredding process. The donation of $5 for a Postal Size box benefits the Lions Brookfield Charities Fund.
This is just one of many Community Activities sponsored by the Brookfield Lions. Some of the others are Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation, Eyeglasses for the Needy, Red Cross Blood Drives, Ability Beyond and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Brookfield Lions meet twice weekly on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
