Jazz Artist Isabella Mendes To Perform at the Brookfield Library

Mendes brings her latest collaboration "The Bossa Nova Project" to Brookfield Library.

BROOKFIELD, CT -- Brazilian native, singer-songwriter and pianist Isabella Mendes will be performing at the Brookfield Library, located at 182 Whisconier Road in Brookfield, Connecticut on July 29 from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. This is a free concert open to all.

Quickly becoming one of New Haven and Hartford County’s top Brazilian, jazz and pop entertainers, Mendes, has achieved a list of musical accomplishments including performances with Jeff Fuller, Joe Carter, Ali Ryerson, Italiguara Brandao, David Cordeiro, Samuel Martinelli, and Flavio Lira to name a few.

Founded last year, Mendes brings her latest collaboration “The Bossa Nova Project” to Brookfield Library. This project focuses on "happiness through music and celebrates diversity through a blend of Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Mendes originals to bring musical worlds together."

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mendes began classical piano studies at the age of four, later moving to the United States where her studies expanded to include voice and jazz. While in high school she studied at the Education Center for the Arts (ECA), in New Haven performing throughout New Haven County.

Her CT festival performances include The New Haven Festival of Arts and Ideas, the MAC in Milford, and the Levitt Pavilion in Westport.
