
Jean M. Miller, formerly of Brookfield, passed away at her home on Thursday October 13. She was predeceased by her husband James F. Miller of 59 years. Jean was born in New York City on February 12, 1928. She was the loving daughter to the late Martin and Helen (Golden) Shalley.
Jean graduated from New York schools before becoming a full time housewife and relocating to Brookfield to raise her children. Shortly after her husband’s retirement, she relocated to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT
Jean always found the positive side to the challenges in her life and believed that laughter was an important part of each day. Always looking out for the less fortunate, Jean supported many charitable organizations. She was also a founding member of , Brookfield

Jean is survived by five loving children, James Miller of Southbury, Carol Harris of Clearwater, Fla., Robert Miller of Hingham MA, Roger Miller of Brookfield, Richard Miller of Baton Rouge, LA; and 14 beautiful grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 17 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 138 Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield. Interment will take place immediately following at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in New Milford. There will be no calling hours.
