Joyce M. Cossuto, 83

Joyce Mary Cossuto, of Brookfield, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at . She was the loving wife of the late Leonard Cossuto, also of Brookfield. Joyce was born July 7, 1928 in Harrow Middlesex, England. She was the loving daughter to the late William and Florence (Littleboy) Pooley.

Joyce left England and came to America at the end of WWII, to start a new life with her fiance' Leonard. They were married in Norwalk, where they raised their family and started a family business before moving to Brookfield. Joyce was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren and continued to work along side her husband until she retired in 1999.

Joyce is survived by her four children, Allen Cossuto and his wife Joan of New Milford, Catherine Zucca and her husband Richard, Philip Cossuto and his wife Cindy, Joseph Cossuto and his wife Diane, all of Bridgewater; six grandchildren, Randal Cossuto and his wife Melissa, Liana Gaudenzi and her husband Gregory, Jennifer Pomeroy and her husband Jym Morgan, Alison Pomeroy, Vincent and Jared Cossuto; two great grandchildren, Kaylie and Allen Michael; and three sisters, Violet Jefferies of South Carolina, Mary Keen and Pat Hall's of England.

The Family would like to thank the many local agencies that provided caregivers and the wonderful staff at The Village at Brookfield Common for their years of providing excellent care to Joyce.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 7 at , 159 Whisconier Road, Brookfield, CT.
