In this brilliant, new comedy from Karen Zacarias, one of the most produced playwrights in America, meeting the new neighbors turns from cordial to all-out war after some surprising twists and turns! Frank Butley has been cultivating his backyard formal garden to perfection and is certain that this is the year he will win the coveted neighborhood garden award. When he and his wife Virginia meet new neighbors Tania, a pregnant doctoral candidate, and Pablo, a rising new attorney, all goes well. Until Pablo, anxious to impress his new boss, invites his firm to a backyard barbeque. The garden fence soon becomes the combat zone between their different goals and cultures with biting wit and snappy one-liners to highlight their pettiness.

"Red"
by John Logan
directed by Sherry Asch
starring Miles Everett & Todd Santa Maria

“A picture lives by companionship, expanding and quickening in the eyes of the sensitive observer. It dies by the same token. It is therefore risky to send it out into the world. How often it must be impaired by the eyes of the unfeeling and the cruelty of the impotent.” —Mark Rothko

"Red" follows artist Mark Rothko at the height of his career. Viewed through the lens of his youthful new assistant, Ken, we witness Rothko at the pinnacle of his creativity, but struggling through the creation of a series of large paintings commissioned to feature in New York’s brand-new Four Seasons Restaurant. As Ken and Rothko paint, they challenge each other to ask big questions about art: what it takes to create it and what its role should be in the world. Set in the 1950s and based on real events, Red takes a compelling look at the ever-changing relationship between an artist and his creations.
