Lecture at Brookfield Museum: King Phillips Colonial War and Its Impact on Current Day Military Policy

The lecture will be presented March 2.

Brookfield resident Robert Purssell, a retired engineer and research writer, will conduct a presentation on King Phillips War or the first Indian War.

The presentation will be given at the Brookfield Museum on Monday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. The Museum is located at 165 Whisconer Road, Brookfield Center ( intersection of Routes 25 and 133) .

The program is sponsored by the Brookfield Historical Society as part of the American Military Forum Series.

During his address, Purssell will discuss the circumstances that led to this conflict and its outcome. He will also offer insights on lessons learned and how they helped shape our current U.S. military organization and post war policy and strategy in dealing with captives 350 years later.
