The Independent Party of CT has endorsed Martin Foncello, State Representative for the 107th House District in Brookfield, Bethel & Newtown.

Brookfield, CT – The Independent Party of Connecticut has endorsed Martin Foncello, State Representative for the 107th House District in Brookfield, Bethel, and Newtown, for re-election.
The Independent Party of Connecticut held their statewide convention on August 23, 2026 and announced the endorsement to candidates the following day. Officials from the party say they represent people who think for themselves and wish to advance the welfare and well-being of Connecticut residents through common sense governance both statewide and at the local and municipal levels.
“I was honored to receive the cross-endorsement of the Independent Party of Connecticut,” said Foncello. “Now more than ever, residents are searching for candidates who put people over politics. I believe my work and voting record during my first two terms as state representative reflects that mindset, and acting in the best interests of all of the people I have the privilege to represent.”

Foncello also called for a return to civility.
“We may disagree on some issues, but disagreement does not have to mean disrespect. Public service works best when we work for everyone, not just those who agree with us because the big issues, like affordability and public safety, don't recognize political boundaries,” said Rep. Foncello.
