Matt Rushka was a guitarist for metal band Into the Coven and an accomplished skateboarder.

Matthew Rushka, 33, passed away on March 22, 2016. He was a guitarist for metal band Into the Coven and an accomplished skateboarder.

His wife Lauren Rushka posted the following information about his services on her Facebook event:

"Please join us to celebrate the life of Matt. At 2 p.m. there will be a short outdoor service in the back of the Congregational Church of Brookfield. After there will be light refreshments served and an indoor location people can gather to talk. Matt was loved by so many people. He had the ability to see the good in people that I could not. He had a heart of gold. He was my life and he will be so very missed."

If anyone would like to donate, here is information from a GoFundMe page his family has set up:

"Matt Rushka was truly loved. By everyone. He has left a hole in my heart and the hearts of CT and beyond. Many have been asking what they can do to help. I have set this up so that you have a choice about how you can do just that. While there are costs associated with this loss there are also other ways that you can help in his honor. Please read below for the ways you can help:

  1. Donation to this will come to me, his wife, to help with costs associated with his loss.
  2. Donate directly, not through this site, to any of the following associations. I have chosen these as they are causes that would have helped Matt in life or he would want supported personally."
