Memorial Bench Honoring New Milford Teen Restored at Litchfield Crossings

Memorial bench honoring New Milford teen repaired and back in front of Panera at Litchfield Crossings shopping center in New Milford.

New Milford, Ct. A Memorial bench honoring New Milford teen Joe South has been repaired and is back and sitting pretty in front of Panera at the Litchfield Crossing shopping center in New Milford. Destroyed last year by vandals, the bench has been lovingly restored by among others, Dave White, of ECCO Development, and Frank Lasky of FSM Services, the Crossing’s developer and contractor.. “ We’re grateful to both of them for donating their time and funds, it will certainly mean a lot to his parents, friends and all those who knew and loved him,“ said Kristen Gizzi Flynn, Director of Litchfield Crossings, New Milford’s largest Shopping Center. The granite bench was originally installed in 2012 in memory of the popular New Milford High School senior who died in a car crash on Route 7.
