A New England Winter View 55 Years Ago
Advertisers always have a much brighter view of winter than I do and Plymouth (Chrysler brand) was no different.

I wish I could say I like snowy New England Winters, but I don’t. Even though they sometimes offer a paid day off from work, I still can’t say I’m enamored of them.
My daughter has a different view. As much as she likes going to school, at the hint of a single flurry she is all ready for a delay or cancellation.
The panic at the gas pumps and the onset of “Milk and Eggs” disease makes road travel even more hazardous than an inch of snow and ice. If you combine that with the fury to ready the spread for the big game, it makes “sticking to the sidelines” look pretty good.

Plymouth had the right idea with their “Traveler” magazine. Place the cars in sample idyllic locations and give Americans something to look forward to as the new models roll off the assembly line.
