Obituary: Aldith "Beverly" M. Hughs, 81, of Bloomfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — Aldith "Beverly" M. Hughs, 81, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on December 6, 2018 at Riverside Health Care Center in East Hartford. She was born on August 15, 1937 in Mildgully, St. Mary, Jamaica, W.I. and came to the USA in the 1970s.

She worked at Blue Bell Mattress Company in Windsor for many years and after retirement part time in food service within the local school districts.

She leaves her son, Victor Francis; four nieces, Carmelita Dennis, Valerie Hall, Marcia Green, Jacqueline P. Johnson; grandchildren, Toya, Liz, Nequa, Teisha, Rahim, seven great-grandchildren, and many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Paul Walker, daughter Marlene Francis, sister Alma Small, and brother George Murray.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at Calvary Church of God in Christ, 770 Blue Hills Ave., Hartford, followed by a Homegoing service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
