Obituary: Alexander Jaime, 87, Of Brookfield

Alex was a very proud, seasoned truck driver who saw much of the United States working for himself and for Yellow Freight.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Alexander Jaime, fondly known as Alex, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 26, 2023 in the company of his beloved wife, Alba Jaime. Alex was born Dec. 22, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Gabriel and Virginia Jaime.

Alex was a very proud, seasoned truck driver who saw much of the United States working for himself in his younger years and later for Yellow Freight. He was a wonderful man who would help anyone and everywhere he travelled, he easily made friends. He was described by many in his inner circle as a father figure who always gave great advice and genuinely made a positive impression on all he met. Alex enjoyed exercise and collecting tools that he never used. Alba refers to Alex as her hero and best friend.

Alex will be forever missed by his wife, Alba of Brookfield; his nephew Paul Amaru, his wife Carol of Florida, and their daughter Christy Lee of England, whom he adored immensely.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Brookfield on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023 with burial to follow in St. Raymond Cemetery in Bronx, New York.
