BROOKFIELD, CT — Flora (Fosco) Netsch, 99, of Brookfield, wife of the late Charles Netsch, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, Sept. 6, 2023, at Hancock Hall, Danbury.

Flora was born in New York, NY, daughter of the late Cesare and Emelia (Solari) Fosco. She attended New York schools and was a retired corporate bookkeeper.

She was an avid reader and loved watching Jeopardy and doing crossword puzzles. Flora was a kind and caring mother, wife, and friend who touched the lives of many.

Flora has been an area resident for the past ten years, coming from Stamford. Prior to moving to Stamford, she resided in the Bronx, NY.

Flora is survived by four daughters, Anne (Timothy), Cathy (John), Charlene (David), and Flory (Robert), a sister Evelyn (Eugene) Marino, ten grandchildren, Daniel, Brian (Kristen), Michele (Miguel), Jacqui, Jonathan (Kaitlyn), Christopher, Charles, Jamie, Bella, and Chaz; a great-granddaughter Quinn Flora, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Flora was predeceased by her brother, Dan Fosco.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9 Granville Ave., Danbury on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Interment will take place at the direction of the family.
