Obituary: George Fredrick Conklin III, 55, Of Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — George Fredrick Conklin III of Brookfield, passed away Tuesday Nov. 14, 2023, in Danbury, at the age of 55.

George was born Nov. 3, 1968, in Mt. Kisco, NY, son of the late George Frederick Conklin Jr. and Isabell Veach Conklin. He attended Danbury High School. On Sept. 10, 2005, he married Magdalena Chacon in Danbury. They lived in Danbury until they moved to Brookfield seven years ago. George worked as a custodian at Katonah Lewisboro School District for thirty-three years before retiring in 2013. He was a sports car enthusiast, lover of rock-and-roll and metal music, he loved race cars sports and wrestling.

George is survived by his wife Magdalena; sons Jason Conklin of Watertown, and Kevin Conklin of Warwick, RI; daughters Christina Conklin of Bolivia, MO and Samantha Pozo of Danbury, grandson Evan Conklin and his dog Bella. He was predeceased by his sister Betty Ann Conklin.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at noon at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY followed by the interment at Milltown Rural Cemetery in Brewster. Calling hours will be prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
