BROOKFIELD, CT — Helen “Babe” (Romano) Devine, age 82, of Brookfield, Connecticut passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Helen was born January 11, 1940 in Olyphant, PA to the late Joseph and Helen (Verdock) Romano. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Martin F. Devine Sr. and predeceased by her son, Martin F. Devine Jr.

Helen leaves behind her loving daughter: Helen “Missie” Paxinos (Mario) of Brookfield, son Kevin Devine (Kathy) of Bethel, and son Daniel Devine Sr. (Michele) of Waterbury. Eight Grandchildren: Amy Chaber (John), Angelo Paxinos (Vanessa), Lori Pinchh (Amphy), Daniel Devine Jr., Brittany Devine, Nicole D’Angelo (Keith), Kaitlyn and Kara Devine. She also leaves ten Great-Grandchildren: Ethan Chaber, AJ and Niko Paxinos, Mila and Liam Pinchh, Emerson and Martin Devine, Emma, Ayla and Anthony D’Angelo, and several nieces and nephews.

Helen loved and cherished her family more than anything, but when she wasn’t enjoying time with family, she was an avid bingo player, casino goer and puzzle book solver. She also loved watching game shows, Pluto TV, and listening to “oldies” music.

Besides her husband, son and parents, Helen was predeceased by her siblings: Josie, Joey, Betty, her best friend Martha, and several other loved ones.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday July 18th at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Danbury. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Sunday July 17th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
