
James J. Walker, of Brookfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the Village at Brookfield Common. He was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late George J. and Viola (Okolowski) Walker.
Walker was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in the European Theater. He received the American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. The campaigns he was engaged in were Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. He worked as a clerk for the Veteran’s Administration.
He is survived by his sister, Adele Brudinicki of Brookfield; his nieces, Sue Ann and her husband Vincent, Adele and her husband, Rick; his brother, John Walker and his wife, Helen of Kingston, NY; his nieces, Kelly and Cynthia; and his nephew, Ian.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 9 at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Rd., Brookfield. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY. There will be no calling hours. To light a candle in remembrance, visit www.brookfieldfuneralhome.com/
