Obituary: Michael F. Donnelly, 61, Of Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — Michael F. Donnelly, 61, of Brookfield, beloved husband of Michele (Pennington) Donnelly, died after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born in Danbury on June 11, 1962, cherished son of Eleanor (Heinzelman) Donnelly of Danbury and the late Francis Donnelly. He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, class of 1980.

Michael enjoyed working for Mitchell Oil for the last 33 years. He was a Senior Service Technician, Michael had a talent for fixing things and always helped his family and friends.
He loved his Harley Davidson and traveling with his wife in their fifth wheel camper.

In addition to his mother, Eleanor, and his wife of 7 years, Michele, he will be sadly missed by his two sons, Michael Donnelly and his fiancé, Jennifer Cyr, and Mark Donnelly; his three stepchildren, Robert Wheeler and his wife, Colleen, Kimberly Wheeler and her fiancé James Hemwall, and Kaitlyn Wohlfert and her boyfriend Randy; two grandchildren, Madelynn and Wyatt. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan Donnelly and Katie Brelling and her husband, Ronald; nieces Ryan and her wife, Emily, and Erin; and his nephews, Kevin and Kyle.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
