Obituary: Patricia Anne Mino, 62, of Brookfield
Patricia will forever be remembered for her generous heart, bright smile, devoted faith, and friendship to many.

BROOKFIELD, CT -- Patricia Anne Mino of Brookfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, June 8, at the age of 62.
Patricia was born on June 30, 1955, in the Richmond Hill section of Queens, NY, daughter of Thomas and Patricia (Whelan )Smith, and the eldest of six children. She graduated from Monsignor Scanlon High School in Bronx, NY, in 1973, and then received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Queens Borough College. She later returned to school to complete her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from South University of Georgia.
On September 3, 1978, she married Warren Mino at St. Luke's Parish in Whitestone, NY. They lived in Glen Head, NY, for fourteen years where Patricia and Warren had their four children and Patricia worked as an O.R. nurse in cardiovascular surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital and North Shore Hospital. They then moved to Salt Lake City, UT, for four years where Patricia founded PJ's Forgotten Children, a non-profit corporation dedicated to helping underprivileged children. For the past twenty years, they have lived in Brookfield, where Patricia worked for Boehringer-Ingelheim in Ridgefield.

Patricia will forever be remembered for her generous heart, bright smile, devoted faith, and friendship to many. She firmly believed in loving all people. She openly welcomed others into her life. She believed in spreading joy and love and was always willing to help others in need.
Patricia is survived by her husband Warren of Brookfield, sons; Warren Mino, Jr. and his wife Kyle of Jarrettsville, MD, Christopher Mino of Morristown, NJ, daughters; Jessica Boone and her husband Johnny of New York, NY, Jacqueline Mino of Wallingford, father; Thomas Smith of Patterson, NY, brothers; Thomas Smith and his wife Roseann of Brewster, NY, Michael Smith of Patterson, NY, sisters Kathleen Smith of Pawling, NY, Mary Smith of Patterson, NY, grandchildren; Charlie Mino and John Cannon Boone, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia (Whelan) Smith, who died on June 8, 2017, exactly one year before Patricia, as well as her brother Patrick J. Smith.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Mt. Carmel Church in Carmel, NY, followed by the interment in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery in Brewster, NY.
