Obituary: Phyllis Jean Adamski, 66, of Brookfield
A loving sister, aunt, daughter, friend and more.
Brookfield, CT - Phyllis Jean Adamski passed away peacefully on March 19, 2017 at Wolcott View Manor, in the loving company of her family, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
Phyllis was born Aug. 23, 1950 in Schenectady, NY, a daughter of the late Bernard and Helen (Orbacz) Adamski. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Schenectady, and Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She lived for many years in Rochester before moving to New York City and then to Connecticut, where she was a business analyst for the Hibbert Group at Boehringer-Ingleheim.
Phyllis is survived by her sister Marge and husband Bill O’Dea of Woodbury, CT; her nephew Brian and wife Claire O’Dea of Arlington VA; her niece Caitlin O’Dea and fiancé Jay Figueiredo of Branford, CT; several cousins and many life-long friends.

Phyllis’ family is deeply grateful for the kind support of the many health care professionals who cared for Phyllis during her illness, especially the gentle, loving compassionate staffs of Wolcott View Manor and Hartford Healthcare at Home Hospice during her final weeks.
A prayer service will begin at 5:00 p.m Thursday, March 23 in the chapel of Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury, followed by the family receiving friends until 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Adalbert’s Church in Schenectady, NY on Saturday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow.
