Obituary: Walter Kelly, 85, Of Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, CT — Walter Kelly, 85, of Brookfield passed away peacefully on April 6, 2022.

He was born September 30, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Harry and Margaret Kelly.
Walter is survived by his son, Scott Kelly of Waterbury, and his daughter Tracy Chisholm,
son-in-law Mark Chisholm, and grandson Nicholas Chisholm of Brookfield, a sister Kathleen
Winston and husband Mike of New Milford, a sister Joanne Westerlund and husband Robert of Miller Place, NY, and many nieces and nephews. Walter was predeceased by his wife Helen I. Kelly, his sister Kathy, and brothers Robert and Dennis Kelly.

Walter served in the U.S. Air Force from '55-'59. He worked many years as a certified data processor. He enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, attending air shows, NY Yankee games and many summer trips to the Jersey shore.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 5, from 5-7 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m., St. Joseph Church in Brookfield.
