BROOKFIELD, CT —Zachary J. Goodwin, 28, of Brookfield, son of Edward J. and Debra (Schnoll) Goodwin, died on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 after battling a long term illness for the past 6 years.
Zach was born in Greenbrae, California, July 26, 1990 and lived in Northern California with his parents until relocating to Connecticut with his family in 1997, where he attended Brookfield schools and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western CT State University as a Finance major.

Zach enjoyed bowling, basketball and most especially the time shared with his family and friends. A volunteer at Regional Hospice Center for Comfort Care, Zach was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church of Brookfield.
In addition to his parents, Zach is survived by his paternal grandmother, Roberta Goodwin of Brookfield and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Schnoll of Houston, Texas as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins, both here on the East Coast and in Texas. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Goodwin and maternal grandfather, Boris Schnoll.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church Brookfield.Interment will be private and at the direction of the family.Contributions in Zach's memory may be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Mid-Hudson Chapter, P.O. Box 787, Poughkeepsie, NY 12602.
