Up until about two years ago, I did not follow town politics too much. I voted in every single election or referendum, but did not pay close attention to what was happening in town. Luckily, with much thanks to Bill TInsley, that has all changed. Just days after the election in 2013 when it was revealed that our newly elected first selectman was charged with felony embezzlement, I was flabbergasted. And angry- angry that he had the audacity to run for public office knowing full well what he was dealing with legally in Vermont. Whether you believe he stole or not, he never should have run for office and kept this information from the general public. To me, this is not a man of integrity or one that should be leading our town.
I did not vote for Bill Tinsley in 2013 and I have known that I would never vote for him in the future; I would automatically vote for his opponent. (For the multitude of reasons, please refer to The Tinsley TImeline.) However, I now know I am not just voting for his opponent, I am proudly voting for Steve Dunn. He has consistently demonstrated to me why he is the right choice for Brookfield. Mr. Dunn has a clear vision for the future of our town. He has the background, skillfulness, and is what we need in order to have honest and transparent leadership again. He listens. He is a man of integrity. Fortunately, Steve Dunn is everything Bill Tinsley is not.
Join me in voting for Dunn/Slater and the rest of Row A on November 3rd.
