Pancake Mix Sold At Walmart In Connecticut Recalled: FDA

Fragments from a cable used to clear the processing line were discovered in a limited amount of Continental Mills pancake and waffle mixes.

CONNECTICUT — Pancake and waffle mix have been recalled by Continental Mills because 0f potential foreign contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The affected product was distributed nationwide through retail Walmart stores.

Fragments from a cable used to clear the processing line were discovered in a limited amount of product, according to the FDA. No contaminated product has been reported by consumers to date, and no injuries have so far been reported.

The product affected by the recall are the Great Value Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix with lot code KX2063 and a best by date of Sept. 1, 2023.

The FDA and the family-owned Continental Mills urge customers who have purchased the product under the recall to either dispose of it or return it to the store for a replacement or refund.
