Phyllis Kara, 88, of Brookfield, died June 8th, 2015 following a very long struggle with complications from strokes.
Phyllis is survived by her siblings; Marie Nixon, Frank Toto, and Gloria Petillo. She is also survived by her three children: Marilee Kara Blodgett (Gary Blodgett) of Vermont, Frank E. Kara III (Laura Kara) of Connecticut , and Mark Kara (Paula Kara) of California. Grandchildren: Candace Pearson, Corrie Blodgett, Hallie Kara, Jake Kara, Armen Kara, Sebastian Dunbar, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Church of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys or the Brookfield Senior Center.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held at the Church of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, Brookfield, CT. at 10 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2015.

Following the service there will be a gathering at Rocco’s Restaurant in Brookfield at 11:30am for refreshments, remembrances, and fellowship.
