Police Charge Juvenile With Arson Following Brookfield CVS Fire
Police have charged a juvenile with starting a fire inside a Brookfield CVS on Sunday.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Police have charged a juvenile with starting a fire inside a Brookfield CVS on Sunday.
Both Brookfield fire companies were called for an active fire inside the store at around 11 a.m.
First responders found that display case had been set on fire, but extinguished by the store manager on duty. All staff had customers had been evacuated from the building.

The store suffered minor property damage and remained closed for business the rest of the day.
An investigation by Brookfield police and the Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire has been deliberately set, according to a report by the Brookfield Police Department.

Police located the juvenile suspect, who was charged with first degree arson, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment. The juvenile was released into the custody of their parents.
