Police Warn: Big Fines for School Bus Violations

The new school year beginning means an increase in school bus traffic, and traffic violations involving school buses.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Police have taken to social media to warn residents that the start of the school year brings an increase in school bus traffic, and hefty fines for traffic violations.

Traffic violations involving school buses are "strictly enforced," police caution, and carry penalties beginning at $465.

"The safety of our children is of the upmost importance, please drive responsibly," Brookfield police wrote on the Facebook page.
