The Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut joins C-Pace Program

Brookfield, Connecticut– As a community leader in social responsibility, the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut stands firm in its commitment to make our community a better place in all that we do. To that end, the Y has become a member of the Connecticut Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program, which is a significant step in creating an energy-efficient environment.
By becoming a part of the this invaluable program, the Regional YMCA will be adding smart energy upgrades to retrofit the Greenknoll Branch in Brookfield with cost effective, state of the art equipment. The Y has partnered with Controlled Air and 3x Solutions to save money while conserving the environment.

“C-PACE will allow the Regional YMCA to finance energy efficient and clean energy improvements, The YMCA will pay for the improvements over time through an additional charge on our property tax bill. The C-PACE financing will allow us to make significant upgrades in a green, environmentally friendly and cost effective manner” says Marie Miszewski, President and CEO.

Smart energy upgrades to retrofit YMCA building with cost effective, state of
the art equipment.
6 energy efficiency measures including building management system, hi-
efficiency boiler, combined heat and power (CHP).
CHP is a clean, efficient way to generate heat and electricity from one fuel
source, resulting in improved operating efficiency, lower energy costs and
reduced carbon emissions.
Projected energy and fuel savings in excess of $100,000 per year.
No up front, out-of-pocket costs.
Pay for the improvements and upgrades through savings on YMCA’s fuel and
utility bills.
