Registration Now Open for Candlewood Lake Cleanup

Normally held in the spring, the event was delayed this year due to the macroburst that hit the area on May 15.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Registration is open for the 19th annual Candlewood Lake Cleanup on Oct. 6.

Normally held in the spring, the event was delayed this year due to the macroburst that hit the area on May 15. Since its initiation in 1999, tons of debris have been picked up and disposed of properly.

Volunteers may register as either a cleanup worker or boat captain. Workers will depart from any of the town parks in Brookfield, Danbury, New Milford, New Fairfield or Sherman in the morning to collect debris from the shoreline.
