Rep. Harding Promises Students that Getting Involved Makes all the Difference
Speaks at Brookfield High School

BROOKFIELD – As a young legislator serving the State of Connecticut up in Hartford, Rep. Stephen Harding (R-107) is making an effort to get more members of our young generation involved in all aspects of our government.
On Friday, October 21, Rep. Harding visited his alma mater, Brookfield High School, where he spoke to several groups of students regarding how state government works, and shared his experience of serving in the House of Representatives over the past two years. He encouraged them to register to vote, stay up-to-date on local issues and get involved where they can on any and all matters they are passionate about.
“When I was a student here at Brookfield High, I could have never imagined that I’d be standing here today talking to you about our state government,” said Rep. Harding. “At that time, serving as a state representative would not have been something I was interested in, and yet now I couldn’t imagine a greater job. After I graduated lawschool, I quickly realized that the best place I could make a difference was right here in my own district. I want to make sure that students like yourselves are able to take advantage of great
opportunities to advance your careers right here in Connecticut. Voting and being informed on the issues is crucial to creating a better future for you and your families.”
