Update: Brookfield Teen Killed in Danbury Accident
Police say a female teen died after being hit by a car driven by a Brookfield woman.

Update 10:45 a.m.: The 17-year-old killed in the Lake Avenue accident was identified as Rebecca Draper Townsend, 17, of Brookfield.
Benjamin Arne, 17 of New Fairfield is being treated at Danbury Hospital for his injuries sustained in the collision.

Danbury police are investigating a fatal accident that took place Thursday night.

According to police, the department received a call about a motor vehicle accident involving a Tan colored Hyundai Elantra traveling west on Lake Avenue at around 9:24 p.m.
The car driven by Krista Consalva, 23, of Brookfield reportedly struck two 17-year-old pedestrians crossing Lake Avenue Extension from the Stop and Shop Parking Lot heading towards Stanziatos Wood Fired Pizza, police said.
The female juvenile was pronounced deceased shortly after being transported to the hospital and the male juvenile is currently in stable but serious condition, police said.
The accident is currently under investigation and any witnesses are asked to call Officer Lance Brevard and Officer Marcel Kruijs at 203-797-2156.
