Ronald Preusse, 84, of Brookfield, Passed Away

Ronald Preusse, age 84, passed away October 21, 2015. Born Julius Ronald Preusse in Yonkers, NY on February 19, 1931, he was the only child of Julius Preusse and Irene (Lundgren) Rizzoli. Ron was more affectionately known to most as simply, pop.

Pop was a self-employed electrician, passing this trade onto three of his sons and three grandsons. He was an excellent marksmen and craftsmen. He loved animals, sailing, collecting trains and his family.

He leaves behind seven children, Carol (Peter) Stefanchik of Glendale, AZ, Kevin (Robbin) Preusse of Danbury, CT, Ronnie (Debbie) Preusse of Ballston Lake, NY, David (Carrie) Preusse of Danbury, CT, Robert Jeffrey (Denise) Preusse, with whom he made his home, of Brookfield, CT , Julie (Anthony) Capuano of Stratford, CT and Lisa (John) Todd of Torrington, CT.

Also mourning his loss are his sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and former wife Julia (Horgan) DiVincenzo. He was predeceased by his wives Patricia (Mulhern) Preusse and Karen (Jennings) Preusse.

Green Funeral Home in Danbury is in charge of arrangements. Per Ron’s request no services will be held. Contributions in his memory may be made to an animal welfare society of your choice or the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department.
